Seafood Casserole

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 lb. seafood (lobster, crab meet, salmon, scallops, etc.)
  • 6 Crown Pilot crackers (or 16 saltines)

Preparation

Step 1

In medium saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons butter. Stir in flour, salt, mustard, & pepper. Gradually add milk & cream and cook until smooth & thickened. Add seafood. Break 4 Crown Pilot (8 saltine) crackers into small pieces and stir into mixture.

Turn into 1½ quart casserole. Coarsely crush remaining crackers, combine w/ remaining butter (melted), sprinkle around sides.

Bake at 400F, 15-20 minutes.
