Ingredients
- Beef:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 C water
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 Tbs chili powder
- 1 C whole corn, drained
- Topping:
- 3/4 C corn meal
- 1 Tbs flour
- 1 Tbs sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/3 C milk
- 1 Tbs oil

Preparation
Step 1
Meat:
Saute beef and onion until brown. Add remaining ingredients, simmer for 15 minutes. Pour into greased 2 qt casserole dish.
Topping:
Combine dry ingredients. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour over meat mixture in dish. Bake at 425* for 20-25 minutes, until cornbread is brown.
