- 5 cups pitted cherries
- 1/2-1 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon butter cut into small pieces

Step 1
Place cherries, sugar, almond extract, lemon juice, and corn starch into large bowl. Toss until cherries are well-coated. Make pie crust. Put filling into pie crust. Cover with dabs of butter. Cover with top crust. Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees. Bake for 15 minutes. Then reduce the temperature to 350 degrees and cook for 45 minutes longer.
