Ingredients

  • 1 cube margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 1 c. Brown sugar
  • 2 c. Flour
  • 2 Tbsp cocoa
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c. Sour milk or buttermilk
  • 1 c. Boiling water
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation

Step 1

Beat together margarine, eggs, and sugars until creamy. Add flour, cocoa, salt, and sour milk; beat well. Boil water and add baking soda to boiling water. Add to cake mixture. Batter will be runny. Add vanilla extract. Pour into 9x13" inch cake pan that is greased and floured. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Frost with desired frosting.
