Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 4 tablespoons mild
- 1 teaspoon lemon or vanilla extract

Step 1
Cream margarine and sugar; add eggs and beat well. Sift flour, soda, a baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Add lemon extract to milk. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with milk mixture. Drop by large spoonful onto greased cookie sheet. Flatten cookie slightly with glass dipped in sugar. Bake in a 375 oven until lightly browned, about 12 minutes. Store in airtight container.
