Butterscotch Nut Bread

Ingredients

• 1 egg
• 1 cup of dark brown sugar
• 1 1/2 tbs. shortening (Crisco solid)
• 1/2 tsp. baking soda
• 3/4 tsp. baking powder
• 2 cups of flour
• 1 cup of buttermilk or sour milk
• 1/2 cup of nut meats
• pinch of salt

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees in greased pan.
