Ingredients

    cups flour

  • 2

    cups sugar

  • 2

    sticks margarine

  • 1

    cup water

  • 3

    tablespoons cocoa

  • 2

    eggs

  • 1

    teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2

    cup buttermilk

  • 1

    teaspoon vanilla

  • ICING

  • 1

    stick margarine

  • 3

    tablespoons cocoa

  • 6

    tablespoons milk

  • 1

    box powdered sugar

  • 1

    teaspoon vanilla

Directions

In a small mixing bowl sift flour and stir in sugar. In large bowl, sift flour and sugar again. In small saucepan, combine margarine, water, and cocoa. Bring to a boil. Pour over sugar and flour mixture. Stir well. In small bowl beat eggs with fork. Add baking soda, buttermilk, vanilla. Stir Add this mixture to the chocolate mixture. Bake in a greased and floured 15 x 10 x 1 jelly roll pan at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. ICING Heat slowly margarine, cocoa, and milk. Take saucepan off stove and add sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Ice cake while hot.
