Ingredients
- 4-5 c. Tart apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- 1/4-1/2 c. Water
- 3/4-1 c. Sugar
- 1-2 Tbsp flour
- 1/2-1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp butter or margarine

Step 1
Steam or simmer apples gently in water until they wilt and begin to become transparent. Combine sugar and other dry ingredients and add to apples. Sprinkle with lemon juice and dot with butter.
