Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

If using frozen chicken breasts, add a bit more water, and dont shred chicken until about the time of adding dumplings.

Ingredients

  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • Cumin to taste
  • Parsley to taste
  • Poultry seasoning to taste
  • Seasoned salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 can low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 pkg refrigerated biscuit dough, torn into pieces

Preparation

Step 1

1. Place the chicken, butter, soup, onion, seasons and chicken broth in a slow cooker.

2. Cover, and cook for 4 hours on High. About 2 hours before serving, place the torn biscuit dough in the slow cooker, making sure all pieces are covered with liquid. Cook until the dough is no longer raw in the center.
