Pizzelles

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 3 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. butter (1/2 lb.)
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp. vanilla or anise

Preparation

Step 1

Beat eggs, add sugar gradually. Beat til smooth. Add cooled melted butter and anise. Sift flour and baking powder and add to egg mixture. Drop by spoon.

Drop heaping teaspoonful of batter in center of grid. Bake about 30 seconds.
