Pie: Kentucky pie with Bourbon
By fsilver4
Now, generally speaking this pie is always made with walnuts. Walnuts are specifically added to this pie and this pie is trademarked and only allowed to be called Derby pie if walnuts are used, therefore, to avoid being sued by the family that originated this pie, I will not use the word "Derby". However, by adding the pecans, I think it's better!!!! But then again, I was born further south than Kentucky and most southerners prefer Pecans. I also added a little more sugar and nuts.
