Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb sausage
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 4 stalks of celery, diced
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp cayenne
  • 3 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • salt/pepper
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 tbsp worcestershire
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 small can of tomatoe paste
  • 3 (15 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 2 cans of tomato sauce
  • 2 cans (15 oz0 kidney beans, drained and rinsed

Preparation

Step 1

Brown the sausage and ground beef together
Remove them from the pan, lightly saute all veggies in the remaining oil/grease from the meat
Add dry spices, stir
In a separate bowl mix the remaining ingredients and the brown sugar
Let simmer a few hours
