Chocolate cream pie

Ingredients

  • 2 C milk
  • 1 C sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/3 C cocoa
  • 1/3 C flour
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 3 T butter
  • 1 t vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Pour milk in 2 qt saucepan, heat over med heat. Add Lbutter. Scald. Separate eggs yolks in mixing bowl and whites in a second mixing bowl. Add sugar and salt to yolks, whisk until smooth. Add cocoa slowly, stir til smooth add flour slowly til blended. Pour small amount of milk over yolk mixture, stir til blended well, then slowly add the yolk mixture to the remaining gmilk in the pan stir constantly til blended. Continue cooking stirring often til thickened remove from heat add vanilla sit well. Pour pudding Lin per baked pie shell. Cover with meringue bake in low oven 300 deg 15-20 mins.
