Glazed Banana Treat

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp margarine, soft tub, melted
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 large bananas (about 1 1/2 pounds), firm, ripe
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped, toasted

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 450 F; spray a cookie sheet with nonstick coating. Combine brown sugar, lemon juice, margarine and cinnamon. Cut bananas in half and place lengthwise, cut sides up on cookie sheet; bake 4 minutes. Drizzle sugar mixture over bananas, reserving a small portion to drizzle before serving; sprinkle with walnuts and bake 3 minutes. Cut each banana into thirds crosswise and drizzle with remaining sugar mixture.
