Ingredients

  • CRUST
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 Tbs water
  • TOP
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 3 eggs
  • vanilla frosting
  • chopped almonds

Preparation

Step 1

CRUST: Mix 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup butter, 2 T. water. Divide into 2 parts. Pat out to approx. 12"x3" (forms 2 crusts)

TOP: Heat to boil 1/2 cup butter, 1 cup water, 1 tsp. almond extract. Remove from heat and mix in 1 cup flour; beat in 3 eggs one at a time. Spread over crust. Bake 60 minutes at 350 degrees. Frost when cool with vanilla frosting and sprinkle with chopped almonds.
