FROSTING - RICH CHOCOLATE

Ingredients

  • 12 oz. pkg. semisweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 C. black coffee
  • 2 sticks unsalted butter, cut into small pieces and thoroughly chilled

Preparation

Step 1

1. Melt chocolate with coffee in a small, heavy saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until chocolate melts completely. Pour chocolate mixture into the large bowl of a mixer. Beat in the chilled butter, one piece at a time. Continue beating until mixture is smooth.

2. Chill frosting until it thickens to spreading consistency.
