Ingredients
- Sauce:
- 1 ½ cups maple syrup
- 1 ½ cup water
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- cake:
- 1 cup flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup of sugar
- 1 tablespoon soft butter
- 1 egg beaten
- 1/3 cup milk
Preparation
Step 1
1. Mix maple syrup, water and brown sugar. Bring to boil and take out. Add butter.
2. Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
3. Cream butter with sugar until coarse. Add beaten egg and mix well.
4. Add dry ingredients, alternating with milk and beat until smooth.
5. Spread the mixture in a greased glass bowl.
6. Slowly pour the sauce over the mixture.
7. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes
8. Serve warm.
