Ingredients

  • Save for top of cake:
  • 1 1/2 C sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 C flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 can crushed pineapple
  • 1 C brown sugar mixed with 1/2 C chopped pecans
  • Topping:
  • 1 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 1 C evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Cake:
Mix all together and pour in greased 11 3/4 x 7 1/2 x 1 3/4 inch baking dish. Sprinkle brown sugar/pecan mixture over top.

Topping:
Heat on top of stove until it comes to a boil. Pour over cake as soon as it is off the stove.
