Ingredients

  • 4 lamb shanks (14-16 oz each)
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/8 t pepper
  • 4 c beef broth
  • 1/2 c chopped onions
  • 2 t dried rosemary
  • 1 t garlic powder
  • 1 t ground mustard

Preparation

Step 1

Place the lamb shanks in ungreased 13 x 9 pan. Put salt & pepper on. Bake uncovered ar 400 for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and reduce heat to 350. Add broth to the pan. Combine onion rosemary, garlic & mustard. sprinkle over lamb. cover tightly and bake 2 1/2 - 3 hours or until very tender.
