Barbequed Chicken on the Grill II

MY NOTES: A HUGE favorite of mine! Love it when the barbecue sauce blackens a bit in spots! Incredible flavor!

Ingredients

  • Chicken quarters or legs/thighs or cut up chicken pieces
  • Barbecue sauce of your choice

Preparation

Step 1

1. Heat grill on HIGH heat.


2. Sear the chicken pieces for 5 minutes on each side DIRECTLY on HIGH
heat on the grill.

3. Lower grill temperature to MEDIUM, move chicken to the center and cook on one side for 15 minutes, with the grill cover down. Turn chicken over and cook for 15 more minutes, with the cover down.

4. Baste chicken with barbecue sauce of choice and cook for about 10 more minutes, turning and basting liberally numerous times with sauce, until sauce caramelizes nicely and chicken is done.
