HOT ROLLS - GRANDMA CROSS'

Ingredients

  • 1 cup lard
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 cakes of Fleischmann's Yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 cups of flour
  • poppy or sesame seeds

Preparation

Step 1

Dissolve 2 cakes of Fleischmann's Yeast in one cup of warm water. Beat 2 eggs. Put the yeast and water in with eggs and add to above mixture. Add 6 cups of flour. Knead (for at least 10 minutes). Let raise in warm place, covered, in greased bowl until doubl 1ed, about 2 hours. Punch down and form into small balls. Put three into greased muffin cups and sprinkle with poppy or sesame seeds. Bake at 350* for about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
