Apple Pecan French Toast

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 med. apple, peeled and shredded
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 loaf Fr. bread, cut into 12 1 inch slices
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
  • 2 T. butter, melted

Preparation

Step 1

Coat bottom of 13x9 glass baking dish with cooking spray or brush with melted
butter. Combine eggs, milk, sugar cinnamon, apples and vanilla. Place bread
in single layer in bottom of baking dish. Pour egg mixture over bread. Turn read
over once to coat other side. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Preheat oven to 425.
Sprinkle pecans over top of bread slices and drizzle with melted butter. Bake 20-25 min
or until puffy. Serve with maple sugar. Serves 4-6.
