Ingredients

  • cups flour

  • 4

    teaspoons baking powder

  • ½

    teaspoon baking soda

  • ½

    teaspoon salt

  • 1⅓

    cups sugar

  • 10

    tablespoons butter, melted and cooled slightly

  • 1

    cup milk, room temperature

  • 1

    cup sour cream, room temperature

  • 2

    eggs, room temperature

  • 1

    egg yold, room temperature

  • possible additions:

  • ½

    teaspoon almond extarct

  • ¾

    teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1

    teaspoon vanilla

  • 2

    teaspoons lemon zest

  • 2

    teaspoons orange zest

  • cups - fruit or chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees, prepare muffin tins. 1. In a large bowl, stir together all the dry ingredients through the salt. 2. In a medium bowl, stir together sugar, butter, milk, sour cream, eggs and yolk. 3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry (if adding fruit, add halfway through this step.) Mix until incorporated. 4. Add any additions. 5. Bake for 20-25 minutes
