Favorite Chocolate Cookie

Ingredients

• 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 teaspoons vanilla
• 2 cups flour
• 2/3 cup cocoa
• 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 12 ounce package white chips
• 1/2 cup chopped pecans, optional

Preparation

Step 1

In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add the eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in chips and pecans. Drop by tablespoons, 2 inches apart, onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until set.
