Chicken Soup

Ingredients

  • I large chicken cut into parts
  • Water
  • 2 cloves garlic chopped
  • 2 large onions
  • 3 T oil
  • 3 carrots, cut into slices
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 turnip peeled and chopped
  • 1 parsnip peeled and diced
  • 2 t dill
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 chicken broth packets

Preparation

Step 1

In large pot sauté onion, garlic in oil until tender.
Add chicken and vegetables
add enough water to cover chicken and vegetables
add Chicken broth packets and dill. Cover
Bring to a oil, then reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 hours
Add salt and pepper to taste and additional dill or chicken broth packets if needed.
