Ingredients

  • 8 ounces butter noodles, cooked and drained
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 cup celery
  • 1/2 cup peas
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup corn
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • salt to taste
  • 1 can (10-ounces) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can (10-ounces) tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 cups grated, Cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Cook noodles according to package.

Brown meat in butter, and season with salt and pepper. Drain and set aside.

Mix all of the vegetables with the cream of chicken soup and the tomato paste. Mix together.

Place a layer of noodles in a 2-quart casserole dish. Put one layer of meat, the vegetable mixture followed by a layer of cheese. Repeat until all of the ingredients are used, ending with a layer of cheese.

Bake uncovered for 1 hour.
