TORTILLAS - CORN

  • Tortilla mix
  • 1 1/3 C. hot water
  • 1/2 tsp. lime juice

Preparation

Step 1

1. Pour tortilla mix into bowl of food processor. With machine running add 1 1/3 C. hot water and 1/2 tsp. lime juice. Mix until dough forms a ball. If dough is too stiff, add a little more water.

2. Pull off a lump of dough the size of a golf ball. Place slightly flattened ball in tortilla press and flatten into a 6 inch circle.

3. Heat ungreased, nonstick skillet on medium high and cook each tortilla for 30 seconds. Flip and cook until lightly browned 30 seconds more. Flip again and cook an additional 30 seconds.

4. Stack and cover cooked tortillas to keep soft and warm.

5. To make tortilla chips, cut into 6 or 8 wedges and bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
