Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 16 large croissants, or 32 small
  • 3 pounds very thinly sliced Black Forest ham
  • 2 pounds thinly sliced Monterey Jack cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Combine the butter, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce and poppy seeds in a bowl. Stir to mix well. Cut the croissants into halves. Spread the butter mixture on both halves of each croissant. Layer the bottom halves of the croissants with ham and cheese. Top with remaining halves. Wrap the sandwiches in foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes or until the cheese melts.
