Bread Pudding - with Cinnamon Rolls and Kahula

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Kahula Vanilla Coffee Liqueur
  • 1 lb. 2 oz. cinnamon rolls cut into 1 1/2" pieces (8 cups)
  • 2 3/4 cups Half and Half
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. melted butter
  • SAUCE
  • 3 Tbsp. Kahula
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/16 tea. salt
  • 1 egg

Preparation

Step 1

Place pieces of cinnamon roll in large bowl. Pour in Half and Half and Kahula. Let soak 5 minutes.

Whisk eggs with sugar and butter. Pour over cinnamon roll mixture. Mix gently, maintaining pieces of cinnamon rolls.

Pour into a greased 9x13 baking pan. Bake in preheat 325 degree oven 1 hour and 10 minutes. Cool slightly.

SAUCE: Melt butter with sugars and salt in saucepan over low heat. Stir to dissolve sugars. Whisk egg in medium bowl. Gradually whisk in sugar mixture, a few tablespoons at a time. Return mixture to saucepan and whisk over low heat 1 minutes. Do not boil. Whisk in Kahula.
