Ingredients
- 1-1/2 lb ground round beef
- 4 hamburger buns, split
- 3/4 c catsup
- 3 T brown sugar
- 2 T mustard
- 1 t vinegar
- 2 T Worcestershire sauce
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium red bell pepper, chopped
- 1/2 T chili powder
- 1 t paprika
- 1 t ground cumin
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/2 t black pepper, freshly ground
- 1 t dried oregano
Preparation
Step 1
In large skillet, sauté meat with red bell pepper and onion, over medium-high heat. Sauté for 5 minutes or until the onion is tender; drain off fat.
Mix in catsup, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar to meat. Stir in garlic, chili powder, paprika, cumin, vinegar, brown sugar, oregano, salt and pepper. Let simmer for at least 10 to 15 minutes, stirring from time to time, to let meat absorb sauce.
