Ingredients

- 4 T. sugar she uses 1/2 cup
- 4 eggs beaten
- 1 T vanilla
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 stick of butter
- 3 1/2 cups of milk
- Praline Topping Recipe
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 3 T. butter soft
- 1/2 t cinnamon
- Pecans Pam uses a couple of handfuls of pecans.
Preparation
Step 1
Beat sugar and eggs together. Add vanilla and salt.
Put milk in microwave and let it scald then you must let it cool down before adding. Pam adds a little milk to the bread to soften it.
(Break bread into bowl. Cover with the milk and let soak 15-20 minutes. Then mash the bread to get rid of any remaining chunks.)
Add cooled off milk to sugar, egg, vanilla, salt mixture. Cut the butter in chunks and fold into mixture. You can add raisins, apples or dried fruit at this time.
Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes before adding the praline topping and finish baking for another 20 minutes.
When adding topping don’t jar the bowl as it will fall. You can sprinkle cinnamon, sugar and pecans on top before baking for a topping or use this one.
