Ingredients
- 2 cups raisins
- 2 cups boiling water
- 5 cups all bran cereal
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups maple syrup or molasses
- OR 3 cups sugar
- 1 cup veg oil
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 qt buttermilk
- 5 cups all purpose flour
- 5 t baking soda
Preparation
Step 1
Mix raisins and boiling water with 2 cups all bran cerea; set aside.
In large bowl mix the sweetner and oil then stir in eggs, buttermilk and remaining 3 cups cereal.
Mix flour and baking soda and add to egg buttermilk mixture. Add bran raisin mixture.
Bake in 400 preheated oven for 15-20 minutes.
Cool slightly before removing from pans.
Ref. in quart jars.
Each jar will make 12 muffins
