Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1 C. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 C. milk
- 2 T. lavender blossoms or savory and thyme blossoms
- Honey-Butter Lavender Sauce
- 1/2 C. honey
- 1 T. unsalted butter, softened
- 1 T. lavender blossoms
Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Using 1/2 tsp. for each, butter 12 popover pans or muffin cups; set aside.
2. Whisk together eggs, flour, and milk; stir in blossoms. Pour into popover pans or muffin cups. Bake in 375° oven 35 minutes or until puffed and golden. Remove from oven; prick popovers with fork to let steam escape. For crisper popovers, return to oven for 5 to 10 minutes more. (Be sure oven is turned off.) Serve hot with Honey-Butter Lavender Sauce.
Honey-Butter Lavender Sauce: Place honey in a saucepan. Heat over low heat. Stir in softened unsalted butter and 1 T. lavender blossoms. Makes about 1/3 cup.
