Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup sugar
- 2 Tbsps unsweetened cocoa
- 1 ½ tsps baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup 1 % low-fat milk
- 2 Tbsps vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1 ¾ cups boiling water
Preparation
Step 1
Combine first 5 ingredients in a 9-inch square baking pan and stir well. Add milk, oil and vanilla; stir until smooth. Combine brown sugar and ¼ cup cocoa; sprinkle over batter. Pour boiling water over batter (do not stir). Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched in center. Serve warm.
