Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup rice-rince well and soak
  • 1 1/2 cup chicken broth (or water)
  • Chicken or lam or fish-cut in pieces
  • Potatoes
  • Carrot
  • 1 medium onion, cut into small pieces
  • Toamtoes
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon saffron
  • Laurel
  • Oil

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oil in pan and saute onion pieces for 5 minutes. Add chicken to pan with onion and cook until fried. Next, add vegetables and spices. Then add chicken broth and cook for 15-20 minutes. Finally add the rice and cook for 20-30 minutes longer.
