Citrus white chocolate macaroons

Ingredients

  • 14 ounces shredded coconut
  • 3 squares white chocolate chopped
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 6 tablespoons of flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large egg whites
  • 2 teaspoons of grated lemon, lime or orange peel
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 square semi sweet baking chocolate melted

Preparation

Step 1

Mix coconut, white chocolate, sugar, flour and salt in a large bowl.
Stir in egg whites, peeled and extracts until blended.
Drop by tablespoons on lightly greased and floured baking sheet.
Bake at 325° for 20 minutes until Golden Brown.
Cool.
Drizzle with melted semi sweet chocolate.
