Almond Brittle

Somebody at the store brought this in - it was really good and it's pretty simple!
Almond Brittle
1 stick butter melted in pot on stove (heavy-duty pot like Revereware is best)
½ cup sugar
1 tbsp corn syrup
1 cup sliced almonds
Cook butter, sugar, syrup until “beige” in color. Approx. 3 minutes in microwave (depending on microwave).
Add almonds.
Spread on cookie sheet covered with foil. Press down, leave to cool.
*Use butter to grease pot and foil.
