Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup melted butter (2 sticks)
  • 2 cups chopped dates
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Beat eggs. Add sugar and mix well. Add butter dates, and walnuts. Sift together the dry ingredients, and add to the mix. Stir until smooth.

Pour mixture into a 9" x 12" rectangular pan. Bake at 350 F for about 25-30 minutes or until brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
