Ingredients
- 1 small onion
- 1 l2 red bell pepper
- 1 pkg of button mushroom
- 2 cloves of garlic finely
- Semi sweet sherry
- 1/3 c tomato puree
- Splash of cream
- Won ton wrapers
Preparation
Step 1
1. Finely mince the onion, red pepper and add it to the pan with a little bit of evoo.
2. Once this has cooked for a few minutes add the mushrooms and garlic that have also been finely minced.
**You can finely mince in a food processor**
3. Once the liquid is cooked out of the mushroom, onion mixture - add a splash of a semi sweet sherry.
4. To this add 1/3 c of tomato puree and a splash of cream. Again you want the sauce to cook for a few minutes until the mixture come together and is slightly firm.
5. To this you can add cooked chicken, or fresh crab meat.
6. For the actual tarts - using a small muffin tin; brush every other tin with olive oil. Place the Won ton wrapper in the oiled tins and brush a bit of olive oil in the inside of the wanton wrappers.
7. Bake for 10 mins at 375 - you want them to be a nice golden brown.
8. Spoon a tea spoon of the mixture into the cooked tarts and garnish with a bit of Parmesan cheese.
Serve warm.
