Ingredients
- Topping:
- 1 3/4 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped finely (half of an onion)
- 1/2 cup bell pepper, chopped finely (half of a bell pepper)
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 8 ounces canned diced tomatoes, drained and chopped finely
- 3/4 cup Italian bread crumbs (NOTE: Can also use panko)
- 1 clove garlic
- Dash of worcestor sauce
- Dash of hot sauce
- Dash of cayenne pepper
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Mix all meatloaf ingredients well and place in a baking dish. Shape into a loaf.
Topping:
Mix ingredients for topping and spread on loaf. Bake for 1 hour.
