Creamy Fettuccine Alfredo

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 box (1lb) fettuccine
  • 1/4 cup shredded fresh basil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Step 1

Place butter in a large bowl. Using a wooden spoon or an electric mixer set at low speed, beat until smooth. Add cream and Parmesan. Stir until blended. Set aside.

Bring a large saucepan of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package directions.

Drain pasta well. Add hot pasta to bowl with cream mixture. Using two forks, toss pasta to coat with sauce. Add salt and pepper. Divide pasta among four serving plates. Sprinkle with basil. Serve.
