Ingredients
- • 1 to 2 cloves garlic, minced
- • 1 tbsp. olive oil
- • 1/3 cup dry white wine
- • ½ cup dried tomatoes, snipped (not oil packed)
- • 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
- • 1/3 cup fresh basil
- • 3 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
- • French bread, sliced & toasted, or crackers
Preparation
Step 1
In medium skillet, cook garlic in oil until light brown. Add wine and dried tomatoes; cook, uncovered, over low heat for 15 minutes. Remove from heat. Let stand 10 minutes. Drain liquid.
Meanwhile, in a food processor, combine cream cheese, Parmesan cheese and basil; process until smooth. Add tomato mixture; process until almost smooth. Transfer to a bowl. Cover and chill 4 to 24 hours.
Before serving, let stand at room temperature. Serve with toasted French bread slices or crackers.
Makes about 1 cup.
