Chicken Pot Pie

2 quart casserole dish

Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 10oz can cream of chicken soup
  • 4 o cream cheese
  • 1 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup (1 sticks) butter melted
  • 1 cups buttermilk well shaken

Preparation

Step 1

put the chicken in a 2 quart casserole dish
combine the broth and soup in a medium sauce pan
bring the mixture to a boil
pour the broth mixture over the chicken
in a separate medium bowl
mix the flour with the pepper
melted butter and cream cheese add to flour mixture with the buttermilk
pour this mixture over the casserole and smooth the top
do not stir
bake the casserole until the crust is brown and the filing beneath is hot and bubbly about an hour

can add a bag of mixed vegetables
