Ingredients
- 1 stick (4 oz) butter
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

Step 1
Preheat oven to 325* Butter an 8" square baking pan.
In a small saucepan, melt butter and chocolate over low heat, stirring and taking care not to scorch the chocolate. Whisk to blend well.
In a medium bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until the mixture is lightened and forms a slowly dissolving ribbon when the beaters are lifted, about 2 minutes. Beat in the melted chocolate and butter. Add the flour and vanilla and mix just until blended. Place in pan and bake for 25 minutes, or until just done. Place on wire rack and let the pan cool completely before you cut the brownies.
