Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 2 Tbsp. yeast
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 can spaghetti sauce (24 oz)
  • 16 oz shredded cheese, pizza blend
  • Pizza toppings, if desired

Preparation

Step 1

Pour warm water into a bowl. Add honey and salt. Mix by hand until well blended.
Add yeast and mix some more.
Let sit 5 minutes.
Add 1 cup flour and the olive oil. Mix until well blended.
Add the rest of the flour and mix well. The dough should turn into a ball.
Place ball of dough on floured surface and knead for one minute.
Place the dough in a covered bowl and rise for about 45 minutes, or until doubled in size.
Punch the dough down.
Let rise for one to 1 ½ hours.
Preheat oven to 450. Roll out and make the pizzas or punch down again and wait 1-2 hours before rolling the dough out.
Spread on tomato sauce. Sprinkle with cheese. Add toppings if desired.
Bake pizza at 450 degrees for 15 minutes.
