Honey Mustard Glazed Cube Steaks

Ingredients

  • 6 each cube steaks
  • 1/2 cup coarse-grain Dijon-style mustard
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons parsley -- chopped
  • 2 1/4 tablespoons honey
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons water
  • salt and pepper -- to taste
  • 1 large red onion, sliced

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat broiler. Combine mustard, parsley, honey, vinegar, water, and salt and pepper to make glaze.
Place cube steaks and onion on broiler pan; brush both meat and onion with glaze.
When cooked to your likeness (watch like a hawk!) turn over, reapply glaze and finish cooking.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Steamed broccoli, baked baby red potatoes (bake with a little olive oil and garlic - yum!) and some sweet potatoes, too.

VEGETARIANS: Skip the beef and use those wonderful frozen veggie patties.
