Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup plus 3 tablespoons sugar
- 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 5 tablespoons plus 1teaspoon flour
- 2 cups plus 6 tablespoons ground almonds
- Powdered sugar
Preparation

Hint: A blender or food processor works well for grating the chocolate and grinding the almonds.
Beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Add remaining ingredients and beat well. Pat into a ball and chill in refrigerator at least one hour. With a teaspoon, Spoon out small balls of dough about 3/4 inch in diameter. Roll each in sifted, powdered sugar. Place on greased baking sheet and allow to dry for, four to five hours in a warm kitchen. After drying, preheat oven to 475 degrees. Bake for three to five minutes. Cool 10 minutes on baking pan and remove to cooling racks. Balls will have light outer crust and soft centers.
