BREAD - GRILLED HERBED

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French or Italian Bread
  • 1/2 C. (1 stick) butter or margarine softened or creamed
  • 2 tsp. dried dillweed
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano (or herbs of your choice-substitute 3 times as much if using fresh herbs)
  • Salt, pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Slice the bread into thick pieces. Combine the butter with the seasonings and spread on both sides of each slice. Reassemble the loaf and wrap in foil. Grill for 20-30 minutes and serve. Serves 8-10.
