Lemonade - Made from Scratch

Ingredients

  • 15-18 lemons
  • 1 1/2 C sugar or agave syrup
  • 1 C water
  • 5 C Cold Water
  • 1 sliced thin lemon
  • 12 -mint leaves

Preparation

Step 1

Microwave lemons about a minute if desired to loosen juice.
Add Sugar and 1C water to sauce pan to make sinple syrup.
Bring to boil, stirring occasionally until sugar is disolved.
Remove from fire and let cool.

Juice your lemons. Add the juice to 5C Cold water.
Stir in simple syrup.

Remove about 1 1/2C of lemonade and pour over mint leaves tht have been placed in an ice cube tray. Freeze.

When ice cubes are frozen, put a few in a glass and pour lemonade over. Put sliced lemon in remaining juice just to flavor a little more or garnish.
