Cranberry and Sauerkraut Meatballs

Ingredients
- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 pkg onion soup mix
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. bread crumbs
- 1 can whole cranberry sauce (about 1 lb)
- 1 c. sauerkraut
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 bottle Heinz chili sauce, then fill bottle again with water
Preparation
Step 1
Mix ground beef, onion soup mix, eggs and breadcrumbs. Shape into small meatballs, about 1 tablespoon of mixture per meatball. Spray a 9 x 13-inch pan with Pam. Put meatballs in pan. Mix and simmer the remaining ingredients for a few minutes. Pour the mixture over the meatballs. Bake for 2 hours at 350 degrees; cover with foil for the first 1 1/2 hours. If you use prepared meatballs, bake for only 1 hour.)
